Violencia Contra La Mujer

Honduras has enacted criminal-code reforms raising femicide sentences from 25–30 years to up to 60 years for aggravated cases and establishing specialized courts staffed exclusively by women judges to handle femicide and violence-against-women cases.

A court in San Pedro Sula unanimously acquitted Isaac Sandoval of violence against a woman and injury charges brought by his ex-partner, Colombian model Daniela Aldana, finding insufficient evidence to prove the allegations.
