Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of hondurasdaily.com and the Honduras Daily newsletter (together, the “Service”), operated by Honduras Daily, an independent English-language news publication based in the United States. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What Honduras Daily is
Honduras Daily is a curated briefing that summarizes news about Honduras reported by other outlets. We do not generally report original news; we read Honduran and international sources and publish short English-language summaries that link back to the original reporting. We strive for accuracy and neutrality, but the Service is provided for general information only and is not professional, legal, financial, or other advice. For corrections, email editor@hondurasdaily.com.
Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems, or scrape it in a manner that burdens our infrastructure.
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of our content in a way that competes with the Service (see “Intellectual property” below).
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Honduras Daily or use our name or marks without permission.
Intellectual property
The original material we create — our headlines, English-language summaries, edition compilations, site design, and the “Honduras Daily” name and branding — is owned by Honduras Daily and protected by intellectual property laws. You may share links to our pages freely and quote short excerpts with attribution.
The underlying news, source articles, photographs, and other materials we summarize or link to remain the property of their respective publishers and rights holders. Honduras Daily claims no ownership over those source materials, and links to them are provided for reference and attribution.
Content you submit
If you send us a tip, correction, comment, or other submission, you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you grant Honduras Daily a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, and publish that submission in connection with the Service. We are not obligated to use any submission, and we may edit submissions for length, clarity, or accuracy.
Third-party links and sources
The Service links extensively to third-party websites and sources, including via automated translation. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of those third-party sites. Following an outbound link is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that summaries are complete or free of inaccuracies.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honduras Daily and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including reliance on any information provided through it.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email editor@hondurasdaily.com with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) the URL or location of the material you say infringes it; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. We will review and respond, including by removing material where appropriate.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
