Coffee exports from Honduras in the 2025–26 harvest year, which ended September 30, generated $2.285 billion in sales, according to the head of the Honduran Coffee Institute.

Honduras is projected to export more than 7 million 100-pound sacks of coffee this season, generating $2.2–2.3 billion in revenue, boosted by strong international prices and demand from the US and Europe, though financing and infrastructure remain key challenges for the sector.

Honduran coffee exports reached 161 destinations in the 2025–2026 harvest, surpassing projections, with the United States buying 2.27 million quintals (about 102,000 metric tons) and accounting for 33.1% of total shipments.

Honduras's agriculture ministry and the national coffee institute signed a 100-million-lempira (about $4 million) cooperation agreement to boost coffee production through research, technical assistance, technology transfer, and improved quality standards.

Honduras exported 6.66 million bags of coffee worth $2.11 billion from October 2025 through July 1, 2026—a 23% jump in volume and 12% gain in revenue over the same period a year earlier, driven by larger harvests despite lower global prices.

Honduras's coffee price slipped 0.8% year-over-year to $3.07 per kilogram in July, though the country remains among the world's top five coffee exporters and the crop sustains thousands of farming families.

Don Fabio Café of Yoro represented Honduras at the World of Coffee 2026 in Brussels (June 25–27), showcasing specialty-grade beans to international buyers and cementing Honduras's reputation as Central America's leading coffee producer.

Honduras has renewed 70,000 acres of coffee plants through a program coordinated by the Agriculture Ministry and the Institute for Honduran Coffee, with officials projecting output will rise to 7 million quintals this harvest from 6.14 million the prior year.
