Honduras will see little rain this weekend as Saharan dust and high temperatures move in, affecting air quality and weather conditions across the country.

A tropical wave is expected to bring heavy rainfall to Honduras, forecasters say, even as parts of the country experience extreme heat.

Honduras will see mostly dry conditions on August 6 with isolated light rains in the east and north, while the southern region is forecast to reach 40°C (104°F), according to the National Atmospheric, Oceanic and Seismic Studies Center.

Honduras will see hot, dry conditions through most of Saturday, with weak afternoon rains developing in northern and eastern regions as Caribbean humidity moves in; Choluteca will reach 41°C (106°F), the nation's high.
