A tropical wave is expected to enter Honduran territory on Tuesday and last 12 to 24 hours, according to Cenaos director Francisco Argeñal.

Copeco forecasts weak afternoon rainfall on Friday in northwestern, northern, and eastern Honduras due to moisture moving in from the Caribbean, following a warm and dry morning.

Honduras will see mostly dry conditions on August 19, with only weak, isolated rainfall in the northern and eastern regions; the southern region will reach a high of 40°C (104°F), while the central region will see 32°C (90°F).

A weather trough combined with tropical wave 28 will increase rainfall across northern and western highland Honduras, while the south and centre remain dry with temperatures reaching 39°C.
