Fiestas Patrias

An orchestra made up of incarcerated musicians performed at Honduras's 205th Independence Day celebration at the national stadium, marking the first time the ensemble has participated in the annual patriotic ceremony.

The Armed Forces will stage an aerial demonstration on September 5 and 12 at Campo Parada Marte in Tegucigalpa, featuring F-5 and Tucano fighter jets, helicopters, acrobatics, and 12 skydivers, moved from the traditional stadium venue for safety reasons.

Honduras's Independence Day parades on September 15 will not feature the traditional military parachute display after two officers were injured during last year's show; the Armed Forces will instead conduct parachute demonstrations on September 5 and 12 at a separate venue.
