The Pan American Health Organization completed water, sanitation, and waste-management improvements at five health facilities in drought-affected municipalities in El Paraíso and Francisco Morazán to ensure clinics can maintain service during dry periods.

The government is delivering 126 excavators, graders, and tractors to 81 municipalities in a first phase worth $18 million, part of a broader $178 million program to improve roads, emergency response, and drought-affected areas.

The Agriculture Ministry unveiled a 10-year strategy investing $40 million annually to expand irrigation on 60,000 hectares, strengthen school meals for 300,000 children, and boost local farm production amid an El Niño drought affecting 134,000 families across 234 municipalities.

Congress authorized Tegucigalpa's city government to issue $500 million in municipal bonds to restructure inherited debt, freeing about 60 million lempiras per month for water infrastructure and drought relief in the capital.

The Tegucigalpa municipal government is drilling and rehabilitating wells to address declining reservoir levels, evaluating 41 existing wells and 33 new sites with the goal of creating over 70 water sources that could each produce 80–120 gallons per minute and serve roughly 1,000 families daily.

The government unveiled a 1.5-billion-lempira (roughly $60 million) incentive program targeting more than 300,000 corn, bean, coffee, and cattle farmers nationwide, with a drought-contingency plan and increased municipal transfers to help communities hardest hit by dry conditions.
