The national traffic authority confirms it still lacks sufficient materials to print physical driver licenses, keeping the service operating at reduced capacity until new supplies arrive in August.

The National Road and Transport Authority (DNVT) says it has supplies to issue physical driver's licenses and is resuming all renewal and new-license processing; people who received only a digital receipt in prior months can now claim their cards at any DNVT office.

Congressman Yury Sabas of the Liberal Party announced a bill to allow supervised driving licenses for Hondurans aged 16 to 18 with parental consent, mandatory insurance, and certified driver training, citing informal teenage driving already occurring on roads.
