Security Ministry Weighs Outsourcing Driver's Licenses

Security Minister Gerzon Velásquez said the government is studying a proposal to hire a private company to handle driver's license issuance starting in 2027, a move meant to end the procurement delays that have disrupted supplies of specialized materials and printing equipment.
