Honduras's Health Ministry has confirmed an imported measles case in the Bay Islands and is urging residents to watch for fever, cough, conjunctivitis, and rash while checking their vaccination status.

Honduras's disaster agency COPECO has placed the Caribbean coastline and Bay Islands under a Green Alert due to rough seas, while the same alert level remains in effect for the country's 11 departments.

The Bay Islands hosted Ocean Fest, the third annual festival organized by the Tourism Free Zone to teach children and young people about ocean and ecosystem protection, bringing together environmental organizations, schools, and businesses to promote marine conservation.

COPECO in the Bay Islands received a 1,500-gallon water tanker truck costing about 1.5 million lempiras to support firefighting, water supply, and emergency response across the archipelago.
