Honduras's Education Ministry has instructed schools to schedule parade rehearsals outside regular class hours and banned full-day suspensions to keep learning time intact ahead of September 15 independence celebrations.

Honduras's Independence Day parades on September 15 will not feature the traditional military parachute display after two officers were injured during last year's show; the Armed Forces will instead conduct parachute demonstrations on September 5 and 12 at a separate venue.

With Honduras's 205th independence anniversary approaching on September 15, the coordinating committee has begun organizing traditional parades and security operations, deploying over 3,000 police officers to ensure public safety during the month-long festivities.
