Honduras's Health Secretariat has made measles vaccination mandatory for travelers heading to Guatemala, Mexico, the United States, or Canada, following confirmation of two recent imported cases; the country has recorded no domestic measles transmission since 1997.

Honduras will offer measles vaccinations at major airports—including San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba, and Roatán—for travelers heading to countries with active outbreaks; the vaccine must be administered at least 14 days before travel.

Honduras's National Migration Institute is now requiring travelers departing to countries with active measles circulation to show proof of vaccination, a Health Secretariat-backed measure to prevent the virus from being imported into Honduras.
