Honduras's maquiladora industry is launching a strategy to attract foreign investment and open new industrial parks, banking on tariff relief for Central American textiles to US markets and a joint effort with government to improve the country's investor perception.

The head of Honduras's apparel manufacturers association is calling on the government to negotiate zero tariffs with the United States for agricultural goods and auto parts, matching Mexico's treatment, to boost competitiveness as the Trump administration considers new trade measures.
