The Public Ministry has reactivated a complaint filed by former President Manuel Zelaya against two retired military officers who in 2018 labeled the so-called Comandos Insurreccionales de Libre as terrorist organizations during the political crisis that followed the 2017 elections.

Honduras sold its presidential aircraft for just over $5 million — roughly $9 million less than a previous Nationalist administration paid for it — prompting Libre opposition lawmakers to question the process while the current government says the sale was conducted transparently and proceeds will fund social projects.

The Libre party's congressional bloc has proposed a popular consultation to let Hondurans decide the future direction of ENEE, the state electrical utility.
