Fire Department

Honduras's fire department safely captured and relocated three boa constrictors found in homes in Tela and Talanga and under a taxi in Comayagua, transferring each snake to appropriate wildlife habitat.

Firefighters safely removed a 1.5-meter boa constrictor discovered beneath a parked vehicle near Puente Germania in south Tegucigalpa and relocated it to a safe location away from populated areas.

Honduras's fire service will build new stations in Olancho and El Paraíso departments and hire 35–40 firefighters in San Pedro Sula, where some stations operate with only two or three personnel, as part of a nationwide expansion to extend coverage and strengthen emergency response.
