A child in San Marcos de Colón was rushed to Hospital General del Sur after a rattlesnake bit his leg while he played in his family's yard; the Hospital Escuela in Tegucigalpa has treated over 60 people for venomous snakebites so far this year across multiple departments.

A child was struck by a pickup truck while running out of a store near a school in Santa Rita, Copán; security cameras captured the collision, but the child suffered only minor injuries and shock from the incident.
