Census 2026

Honduras officially launched its 2026 national census, using digital mapping and geolocation to collect population and housing data that will guide public investment toward municipalities with the greatest needs.

Honduras's National Statistics Institute held a community forum in the Bay Islands to present the 2026 Population and Housing Census, which will gather data on demographics, housing, basic services, education, employment, and health to improve development planning in the island department.
