Study: Honduran Women Face Violence Crossing Mexico

A 2026 qualitative study of 15 women who survived gender-based violence found that nine were Honduran, documenting how migrants fleeing violence at home meet further dangers—including sexual extortion, kidnapping, and trafficking—as they cross Mexico.
