Puerto Cortés Reports Strong Recovery, Plans $400M Upgrade

Honduras's main port has ended ship delays since March and swung from a loss of 862 million lempiras in 2025 to a profit of 423 million lempiras in 2026, with plans to invest more than $400 million in yard expansion, new cranes, and modernization at Puerto Cortés and the southern port of Henecán.
