Tegucigalpa's water authority reported that aging, broken pipes lose 40 to 45 percent of the capital's water supply each day, leaving residents with just 90,000 of the 250,000 cubic meters they need, and warned that the two main reservoirs could hit critical levels by August or September without adequate rain.
