ENEE has announced scheduled power cuts on September 3 in Santa Bárbara, Cortés, and Ocotepeque departments from early morning through mid-afternoon for maintenance work, equipment removal, and contractor projects.

The national electric utility (ENEE) will cut power on August 25 in neighborhoods across Francisco Morazán, Comayagua, and Cortés departments for maintenance, equipment installation, and private-company work, with outages lasting 6 hours in most areas.

Honduras's national power utility (ENEE) has scheduled outages for August 22 in Copán, El Paraíso, and Francisco Morazán departments, with cuts beginning between 8:20 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and lasting up to seven hours for maintenance work.

The national utility ENEE will cut power on July 9 across parts of Colón, Cortés, El Paraíso, and Olancho for seven to nine hours of distribution-network maintenance, affecting residential, commercial, industrial, and rural zones.

The state power utility ENEE will conduct maintenance and grid improvements across Tegucigalpa from July 6 to 10, cutting electricity to dozens of neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and businesses during working hours each day.

Departments in western Honduras including Ocotepeque and Copán have suffered over 9,900 minutes without electricity in the first six months of 2026, blamed on aging infrastructure over 40 years old; ENEE says it will upgrade substations and trim vegetation to reduce outages.

The state electricity company ENEE announced planned power cuts on June 4 in multiple regions including Tegucigalpa, Nacaome, Peña Blanca, La Lima, and Colón for scheduled maintenance, tree trimming, and equipment upgrades.
