Honduras's Health Ministry has confirmed an imported measles case in the Bay Islands and is urging residents to watch for fever, cough, conjunctivitis, and rash while checking their vaccination status.

Health authorities confirmed a third imported measles case in Corinto, Omoa, a border zone in Cortés, as the virus circulates actively in Guatemala and neighboring countries; officials say no community transmission has occurred yet but are intensifying vaccination and contact-tracing efforts.

Health authorities are racing to locate five unidentified passengers from a May 12 Guatemala City–Roatán flight who were exposed to Honduras's second imported measles case, a 27-year-old man now in stable isolation, warning that measles can infect up to 18 people per day.
