A San Pedro Sula court sentenced Héctor Danilo Gonzáles Lemus to four years in prison after he admitted to robbing a vehicle using violence or intimidation against two victims.

Police arrested a 39-year-old man in Tegucigalpa on charges of defrauding vehicle owners who consigned cars for sale; he allegedly transferred titles to third parties without authorization and forged documents, facing at least 16 complaints.

National Police say they recovered 277 stolen vehicles and arrested suspected leaders of car-theft rings operating in Tegucigalpa during 2026.
