Honduras's judiciary has launched a new online platform allowing residents to request, pay for, and download authenticated copies and criminal-history records around the clock.

More than 57,500 Hondurans filed for legal regularization in Spain out of over 1 million total applications, with Spain having three months to process them and expanded residency benefits available to those who secure documentation.

Honduras's National Migration Institute reactivated a temporary legal-residency permit for children of Honduran parents born abroad, allowing them to remain legally in the country until age 21 for a processing fee of 200 lempiras (about $8).

Honduras granted 108 residencies to foreign nationals from January through July 2026, even as asylum requests by foreigners in the country quadrupled over the past year, according to a UNHCR report.
