The National Police confirmed nearly 800 officers will be deployed inside and outside the Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés for this Thursday's inaugural Honduras Supercup match between Olimpia and Motagua, with five security cordons planned.

Olimpia and Motagua will play for the inaugural official Honduras Supercup title on July 23 at the National Stadium, with international referee Saíd Martínez overseeing the match.

Club Olimpia president Rafael Villeda dismissed rumors linking the team to Joel Campbell and Jhow Benavídez, confirming only Jonathan Paz and Elvin Casildo have left as the club seeks reinforcements for the next Liga Nacional season.

Motagua has signed Italian-Honduran left back Valerio Marinacci and Costa Rican winger Jesús Batiz, while Olimpia is set to add defender Christian Canales and recover Jack Jean Baptiste from Real España in a busy Honduran transfer window.
