The Public Ministry has received a complaint from a patient who says he was denied care at a Tegucigalpa hospital during doctors' informational assemblies, with spokesperson Yulissa Gómez saying the case is under analysis to determine whether any crime was committed before it can be referred to the appropriate unit.

A three-week work stoppage by the Medical College of Honduras has left patients with cancer, kidney disease, diabetes, and hypertension unable to access scheduled appointments, procedures, and treatments, forcing many to pay out of pocket for private consultations that can exceed L3,000 (about $120).
