Banasupro

Honduras's government negotiated with producers and retailers to reduce a planned egg-carton price increase from 20 to 8 lempiras, while Banasupro will hold its medium carton at L95; rising feed and fuel costs continue to pressure the poultry sector.

Only four of Banasupro's 100 distribution points have eggs available at the agreed price of L95 per carton, two weeks after the government promised nationwide rollout, while market prices remain at L120–150.

Honduras's state food-supply agency Banasupro began a three-month program on June 24 to hold basic food prices steady and offer discounts of up to 10% through partnerships with private suppliers across its 121 nationwide stores.
