Honduras's flagship La Prensa-Gatorade half marathon, now in its 50th edition on June 14 in San Pedro Sula, has sold out all categories, drawing 22 nationalities and thousands of recreational and elite runners in what organizers describe as a milestone for the country's premier running event.

Honduras's junior track-and-field teams returned from the Central American Athletics Championships in San José, Costa Rica with two gold medals, one silver, and three bronze, highlighted by Brayan Josué Mata's Central American record of 12.69 meters in the triple jump.
