Tegucigalpa's city government signed a 93.66 million lempira ($3.7 million) contract for an AI unit covering video surveillance, social-media monitoring, emotional analysis, and a crisis room to counter negative media coverage, raising privacy concerns in a country with no comprehensive data-protection law.
