A court in Santa Bárbara convicted Julio César Dávila Velásquez, legal representative of a construction company, of aggravated damage to national cultural heritage after a 900-meter dirt road destroyed structures at the El Coyote archaeological site in Petoa; he also faces special disqualification and civil restitution.
