Budget Spending Stuck at 45–50%, Economist Warns

An analyst with the civil-society group ASJ says public investment was only 45–50% spent by September 2026, and warns that next year's projected 457 billion lempira budget risks leaving critical gaps in water storage and electricity unaddressed despite higher salaries and debt payments.
