IHMA Says Stored Corn and Beans Have Spoiled, Unfit to Eat

An audit of the Agricultural Marketing Institute's grain reserves in La Lima found pest-damaged corn and hardened beans that leave part of the stockpile unsafe to eat, though officials say they are replenishing strategic reserves with 60,000 additional quintals (about 2,700 metric tons) bought from local producers.
