A suspension bridge linking remote communities in Guata and Esquipulas del Norte, Olancho, collapsed during its opening ceremony, and the mayors of both municipalities are seeking government aid to rebuild the crossing, which serves more than 2,000 residents and connects them to health services and supplies.
