Chinese and Panamanian Imports Squeeze San Pedro Sula Artisans

About 300 shoe and textile workshops have closed in the San Pedro Sula area over 24 months as cheap imports from China and Panama undercut local makers, hitting more than 1,500 workers and prompting artisans to seek better access to raw materials and financing.
