Foreign Direct Investment in Honduras Falls 27%

Foreign direct investment in Honduras dropped 27% in the first quarter of 2026 from a year earlier, falling to $213 million from $292 million, a decline economists and business leaders blame partly on weak global conditions and partly on Honduras's competitive disadvantage against regional peers.
