IHSS Cuts Surgical Backlog From 6,000 to 1,000 Patients

Honduras's Social Security Institute says it has trimmed its surgical waiting list from more than 6,000 patients to about 1,000 by opening operating rooms on weekends, especially in the north, though officials say a shortage of specialists still limits how many cases it can handle.
