Halfway Through 2026, Honduras Has Spent Just 34% of Its Budget

Honduras had spent only 34% of its 444-billion-lempira (about $16.8 billion) 2026 budget through June, a lag economists blame on late congressional approval as they press for faster spending in priorities like health, education and productive investment.
