Avocado Growers Push to Expand Domestic Output

Honduras imports more than 40 million pounds of avocados a year at a cost of $12 million to $15 million in foreign exchange, and growers say building up domestic cultivation across the country's 1,200 farms could cut that dependence and bolster the farm economy.
