Honduras Bank Credit Growth Slows to 8% in April

Growth in the Honduran banking system's loan portfolio slowed to 8% year-over-year in April 2026 from more than 17% a year earlier, driven by lower interest rates, inflation squeezing household incomes, and weak demand for business and consumer loans despite improved bank liquidity.
