ENEE Loses L1.3 Billion a Month, Regulator Warns

Leonardo Deras, a commissioner at the electricity regulator CREE, warned that the state utility ENEE is losing 1.3 billion lempiras—about $52 million—a month and that, without action, losses could reach 150 billion lempiras, roughly $6 billion, in the coming years.
