Honduras Pays Interest on 19 Projects That Never Started

Honduras is servicing more than $3.3 billion in foreign loans for 66 active projects, 76% of which had not reached even half completion by the end of 2025 — including 19 that have not begun — leaving taxpayers to cover interest and fees on work that delivers no public benefit.
